But, who are you?
I am a Texas-Saqartvelo transplant with a lot to say. In May of 2018, I left the corporate world behind and hopped on a plane to Spain with my husband, Brett, and our dog, Oliver, in tow. Those two are the sun and moon of my life and I think we make a pretty great team. More recently, in May 2019, we hopped on another plane to set up shop in a new home; Tbilisi, Georgia.
I am a travel writer with a focus on history and storytelling. I have been do-si-doing my way around the world for a few years and I make it my business to dive head first into different cultures. I have a deep appreciation for history and meaningful dishes steeped in heritage and tradition. I enjoy sharing the occasional travel guide, interesting stories that I've learned and my recipes that I have made either vegan or vegetarian while preserving the same delicious flavors!
I whipped up From Texas With Love when I was first dipping my toes into wanderlusting back in 2017. Initially, this was more of a travel journal but has since evolved into a place where I share my personal experiences, favorite cultural stories along with my passion for travel, history and food with a community of like minded vagabonds. If you love mindful travel, interesting stories and dishes from around the world, you'll feel right at home.
Outside of the From Texas With Love, when I'm not totally enamored with my husband and dog, I am extremely invested in animal welfare, the environment on this floating rock we're all living on and human rights around the world. Also, wine.
